Work of Art

After several weeks of working at his new job, Carden raised enough money to purchase all his art supplies. At the moment, he was in the garden drawing with his pastels. He'd just finished one painting of a rose bush and now he was on other flowers that were in the garden. The ladies in town loved buying such paintings and they were a big hit. Carden didn't make that much money off of them because he always sold them for what that certain buyer could afford and that was usually not a lot. Carden had a big heart for those that couldn't get very much because he could relate.

Rayne had walked to the garden, she ws in the next part over from where carden was painting, she had her violin with her and some pieces of music she had found in the library she wanted to play. she said on a stone bench and put her bow to the string playiong the tune written on the old parchment. it was a slow sad song her usual type of song. it seemed to fit the garden. the moonlight playing off her dark hair and eyes ad she sat there in a long black dress that reached the floor.

Carden heard the music. It was beautiful. He had to see who was playing. Setting his pastels down, he walked to where the music was coming from. That's how he found Rayne playing her violin. He stopped to listen and watch her, smiling. She was beautiful. Ethereal quality.

Rayne was consumed in her playing the music flowing from the violin her eyes scanning the page drinking in the notes and letting them move onto the strings and into the air. she hadnt played in a while and it felt nice to get out of the castle and play. She finished the song and looked over the other pieces of paper and then looked around spotting carden.

"its rude to stare"

She said to him with a small smile, she felt like she hadnt seen him in a long time, busy with working she supposed, but she felt a bit neglected.

"I didn't want to interrupt you. It was too beautiful a moment to do so." Carden admitted. He smiled at her. "How have you been?" He moved towards her then stopped in front of her reaching out to cup her cheek. "I have thought about you through out my work nights. I'm off for a few days and perhaps we could do something together. Just you and me." He arched a brow at her.

She didint say anything right away and didint move from his hand she felt like playing hard to get but was worried he might just say no to her.

"i dont know, depends on what you have in mind"

she looked around the gardens it was nice and quiet tonight, she sort of wondered where all the other vampires were.

"did you really think about me?"

she wondered if eh was just saying it to get points with he ror if he meant it.

Carden smiled and nodded. He'd thought about her more than he'd let her know. He didn't want to scare her away. But he leaned down and briefly touched her lips with his. "Perhaps we could rent a boat and sail away for a while. You could serenade me with your music and I could draw you naked." He grinned at her. "Or with clothes on if you prefer. But just you and me."

though she kind of liked the idea. she didint know about being drawn naked that seemed a little much, she was confident in her own mind but she found it hard to look at her own body she had been told of ryears as a human about how disgusting she was.

"but some time together sounds nice"

"Anything with you sounds nice." Carden cupped her cheek. Touched his thumb to her lips stroking back and forth over her bottom lip. Dropping his hand, he smiled at her. "What about we have a nice outing by the lake with some wine."

Rayne nodded, that sounded fine somewhere quiet they could spen domse time together away from the others. maybe when she found someone suitable to look after he castle they could go somewhere away for longer than a night.
